Training Hard After 40, 50 and Beyond...You Can Be an Asset Again!
I believe I know some things about this situation as it is my current age group (53 this year) and have been using the Tactical Fitness Over 40 approach to training since I was in my early 40s. I cannot express how much the techniques taught in this four part series has changed my life (seriously). If you want to read more about how important this program is to me (and others) check out this article - or go right into the store and pick up this life changing program and SAVE $$:
Everything Hurts...
I have been at that spot in my life where I thought running was history as the injuries, aches, and pains of previous athletics and spec ops profession came back to remind me of their permanent existence in my life. The hips do not lie and mine were killing me. My saving grace was losing weight (mass) and mobility days as running lighter was easier and the mobility and flexibility was just what my hips and lower back needed. I made a few changes.
If you are over 40 and lived life hard up to this point...
I know you're a struggling to train without pain and dream of becoming a person who is an asset when other's need him again. Currently, you're focused on recovery from injury (or reduce pain) and need to start training again to both lose weight and get back in fighting shape.
So, let me ask you a question...
Would you be ecstatic if you could start training again without getting reinjured, build back the habits of training each day, and start working towards fitness levels and body weight of 20 years ago? Because if you could do those things, THAT would be amazing! It is NOT impossible. You can turn this thing around.
Unfortunately, I also get the sense there are some roadblocks for you here, including figuring out how to:
- Get started smartly;
- Fit training into your schedule again;
And it is a lot to ask to: - Get in shape, lose weight, and not get injured all at the same time..
Sound familiar? Another thing...
Are you also really frustrated by the fact that every time you try to get started, you hurt yourself again? Do you get bored and lose focus about a week or two into training again? And do you not have a lot of exercise equipment to get started training again? These are the typical things that prevent progress.
Plus, it would be cool if you had the answers to these questions:
- How to treat myself like a beginner for a few weeks to avoid injury.
- How to add variety to training so I do not get burned out by the same old routine.
- How do I do more with less equipment and build up to harder activities
One last question...
Do you ever find yourself thinking "I am too old to be in good shape again." and "I will never enjoy training that is "easy" as it is not fun or challenging" I know I did! But some of the things I thought were "too easy" some of the toughest challenges I have ever had to endure (flexibility and mobility)! REALLY!
Been There...
Well let me tell you, I know exactly how you feel because I've been there myself... more than once! When all is said and done, my guess is you really just want to go back to being able to perform like you used to with less pain and less excess weight and be the asset your family needs in potentially dangerous situations either natural or man-made. (ie...Fire, Floods, Winter Power outage, Robberies or Attacks).
If this sounds at all like you...

This book series deal makes it easy to buy all four books and save money on a roadmap to getting started to advanced performance again, however, buy one book at a time and save money still and have a path to create good habits of fitness and health, lose weight, and get into top shape to become an asset in certain situations when needed.
I promise just because you’re an OG does not mean you can’t perform at a certain level that can save your own life and others around you. You can still train hard – you just have to train smarter."
